Default the top pair vs. random 25/50

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $25/$50 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $5,072.00
BB: $5,000.00
UTG: $11,063.00
CO: $5,050.00
BTN: $16,867.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG folds, CO raises to $175.00, BTN folds, Hero raises to $600.00, BB calls $550.00, CO folds

Flop: ($1375) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB checks

Turn: ($1375) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets $900.00, Hero calls $900.00

River: ($3175) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets all-in for $3,500.00

CO opener is FWF. Coldcaller is Angelica18. I kinda feel like I should bet turn because I think that gets value out of KK/QQ/JJ more often...

I think you should fire the turn, but I don't know about calling the river shove. I think I fold.

cold calling the three bet is normally a big hand, right? sometimes ppl call somewhat loosely (I remember a time when cts advocated/went through experimentation of callign w/ ATC and checkshoving the flop or somethign bc the line SCREAMS KK/AA etc.) in any case; A 8 3 is dry, and when the board pairs on the end the 8 (and we have an ace) it leaves just 1 combo of 88 and 1 combo of AA. hero's line looks like a very scared hand - which it is - and nothing too strong, which is why i think you have a great chance of inducing a bluff. the only real hand he coudl be value shoving is a bigger ace, and that narrows it down to ak or maybe aq... some ppl fold aq to the 3bet anyway... and some people 4bet cold with ak. so yeah, getting almost 2;1 (esp. given turn call) and not too many 'better' hands he can have, i think it's worth looking him up. id fold kk-jj etc. tho only because the fact you have an ace skewers the combos. tough spot all around though but i think you played it well..
