yuck. well I'd start off by calling the raise with intentions of c/cing a reasonable bet on the turn and I'm undecided about the river. maybe b/f like 1/2 pot? that would be my plan on blank turns/rivers assuming the rest of the hands plays out normally.

I'd ccertainly not fold just yet. Call and play a turn. I'd probably c/c some a reasonable bet and most likely c/f the river to a big bet.

An alternative line is donking the turn and folding to a raise and then do something on the river.

Bottom line: I'm not folding yet, but I'm not ready to commit my stack yet.

crummy spot. im either folding the turn or calling the river. the runners were bricks, so i dont see anyway you can fold the river. call, then make a note.

w/such a vague read (only 30 hands) the hand is played fine if you call the river. i wouldn't expect to be ahead often, but considering the size of the pot, this seems like one of those close to neutral EV situations. so call river and take a note.

also, raise more pre-flop, at least $10.

River: ($168) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $65.00, Hero calls $65.00

Pot Size: $298.00 ($3 Rake)

BTN had A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ([Ac 6d] Ace King high) and LOST (-$148.00)
Hero had K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and WON (+$147.00)

Wee.

I do not understand how you can call this river and feel good about it.

What is the rationale behind a) calling the turn bet and b) calling the river bet?

You're ahead of a large chunk of his range, and you're getting 3.5 - 1 on the river.
