There are more elaborate threads in the software forum. I have SpadeEye and it scans for instance all the players on Party and brings out their stats from your PT database. You can then arrange the tables for instance according to average VPIP or then you can just browse who is playing and what their chipstacks are and who else is on the table.

SpadeEye can also datamine Party & FT

I just look at the tables and pick the best one, but I only play 1 or 2 at time so I don't generally "need" the tools so much. If there was one that worked for stars though I would definitely try it out!

You dont need any tool. Just play the table with the highest "avg pot" and "plrs/flop".

<sarcasm>because the stats are completely current, and the players that busted to bump up the avg pot haven't already been replaced by people doing the same search</sarcasm>

that being said I still do this

I usually look for low numbers of players seeing the flop. I want people that are predictable. I find that if I get more than a couple of laggy players at a table, it really hurts me.
