Re: 600NL: my straight hits but also flush card
Call and c/f river...folding here is out of the question.

Re: 600NL: my straight hits but also flush card
c/c and c/fold without a Straight flush. Sounds good.
What I actually did was c/raise AI. I'm thinking that he still has overpairs in his range a lot here and that he'll call a lot if he has an good overpair w a flush draw. Bad? |

[/ QUOTE ] meh, I sort of like this better than just calling since there are a lot of bad rivers (another spade, a 5, etc) and if he has a set w/ flush card or overpair with a flush card I think we can get some calls when we have good equity, no? I realize he checks a lot of those on the turn which means this is prob a b/f situation for him with ATC that has no showdown value or way to improve, but if that's the case why are we checking and planning on folding? i'm sort of confused now. |

Re: 600NL: my straight hits but also flush card
I think you played the hand quite well. I figure he has AA or KK with a spade. If he caught the flush...well unfortunataly for you. But you still have 2 outs! :-)
Your opponent will make a bad call with just an overpair more times than enough to justify your all in move. |
