Default Stars Mill - Basic Hand

190 left
I have 170k(around average), blinds 7500-1500 with an ante
Folds to the SB who limps, he has over 300k and I don't know anything about him.
69o in the BB...Whats your plan? Is a push terrible? Raise to 45k(maybe my least favorite option)? Just check and outplay him after the flop with position(I consider myself hugely +ev against random tourny players postflop in spots like this)?

Thanks

with no reads and no bvb history I am pretty sure that this is a shove.

Thanks, thats all I needed to hear...Shoving has always been the standard for me and thats what I did. He of course had A8 and I somehow didn't win.

Retarded play by villain, but you see that. Your hand is 45% against a random hand. Maybe check something like 42o.

"retarded play" by villain? thats rather closeminded.

Very easy push for villain. If you had TT+ or AK, you could check to trap. Picking up the blinds is almost as good as getting someone to push junk.

A lot of players will push 100% here if you complete, so why not complete?

i assume you meant bb is 15000 not 1500. i don't get how showing with 69o is the correct play with your stack. people in this thread are weird, i wish everyone played like that.

shoving and taking it down increases your stack by 25%, quite standard shove
