Almost 200 bb deep, boat vs reg in a butchered hand
Villain is a pretty decent regular, running at 15/12 I think. I am not sure why I didn't 3-bet preflop, I honestly thought I raised preflop and it wasn't until I looked through PT that I realized I just called preflop. So you can discuss that if you like, but it's pretty unnecessary.
On the flop, I was pretty sure I raised preflop so I led out and he raised. I guess looking back that's fine because he took the lead preflop. I decided to just call and see what happened on the turn when my dream card comes. Now what? Leading again looks bad because I lost the betting lead and I'm trying to regain it and it's very fishy. Is check-raise my only viable option? i like a half pot bet here then a bigger bet on river. i think villain is going to check his big pp here a lot given stacks.

You really have to lead this turn. With stack sizes, he's probably not calling/shoving over a check raise here and he may even check behind. I'd make it about $40 and go from there.

Also: Preflop was perfect. 3-betting a nit's UTG range from the SB with TT is just bad.

[/ QUOTE ] Totally agree here. If he's stacking off here he's coming over the top of your turn bet anyways, but there's no guarantee of that. Let him enjoy his trip to Valuetown. |

checking here sucks because he's checking back worse pp's, but calling when you lead
and you're stacking JJ+ either way |
