I might just call and push on a spade or K turn. Maybe even a blank, but then again you could just reraise flop if that's your intention on turn.

i fold. what range would you give an unknown mini4betting you? if the range is JJ+/AK, then you only beat 1 within that range, and that hand isn't putting any more money in the pot unimproved.

i don't understand the 4bet call pf. i know he just minibet you, but do you really have the odds to hit the flop you need with that much money already in the pot versus his probable range? if he had just 3bet you, then its different, but he's getting 20% of his stack in pf here.

I don't mind the call. Pushing could be spew against a possibly solid player -- conversely, it fails to extract enough from spewy unknowns.

As played, in this case AK is t3h nuts and should be played accordingly.

why? are we expecting him to show up with a KQ or something?

i also don't understand the relevence of a spade on the turn. its a 4bet pot against a medium stack who probably has a big pp. if he liked the flop at all, he's not going to care about a 3rd spade hitting on the turn.

yea inferno I think I probably have to fold pre-flop and wait for a better spot. If he's doing this with a wide enough range that I'm ahead I can get my money in better late.. I just hate folding to retard min-raises.

i guess it just depends on what kind of range you think is realistic for an unknown preflop. i usually stay on the more paranoid side when it comes to unknown ranges, something like 3bet=JJ+AK, 4bet=QQ+, but that's pretty conservative.

the thing i've always hated about these kind of spots is that even though your equity against some ranges with AK might be alright, its not as if you get to warp to a free showdown. how often will we be ahead on the flop? how often will we get paid when we are ahead? how often will we hit the flop but still be in trouble, etc.

if i call its always gonna go in on the turn, hes only got another 12 behind. As played it's push or fold, but I think a fold PF might be the best play?
