Hero?

Whatīs the best action on my part? Pretty obv. I was going for a check-raise but once thereīs a bet and a raise my trips donīt look that good anymore. Just felt sick about the action on the flop ... How often does he have a bare five with no kicker? Does he really play 77 like that assuming his opposition has big pp (easy call, right)? Or does he just have a (big) str8 draw and pushes assuming no one will call him as I checked and the other guy prob. has a big pair and canīt call?

Once the non-raiser goes bananas I think you have to fold. Hands like 4567, 5678, 6778, even A5xx have you seriously screwed and you're only 43/57 vs 5***. Even if he's wild enough to do this with a good draw you're still not doing much better than flipping (56/44 vs 6789).

Also, you can't eliminate 77xx because he'll often be hoping to win a big pot against any 5xxx that may be willing to felt now but not later.

Nice easy fold on the flop. They told you that you are beat.
You have 5 outs at best on the flop if you're against A5. You have 2 outs if you're against 75 or 77. You're flipping against 5689.
Fold it and move on.
