It's early, so no reads as of yet. Should I have pushed the turn? As played can he have anything that I beat by the river?

preflop: raise pot
flop: bet pot turn: bet pot = AI River fold is horrible given the turn check. Why is he pushing for twice the pot? OK - so I do this with the nuts sometimes, but not when my opponent made a half-hearted c-bet and checked the turn. He calls that flop bet with virtually any PP, T8 in any suit, possibly JT, might float with AK/AQ. His range is enormous on the flop and it isn't narrowed any by the river push - you don't even look like you want the pot, so why would he think he needed a hand? |

lol... I now feel like a real part of the 2+2 community, since I'm being (correctly) blasted for my play on this hand.
Porto - I have what is the worst possible reasoning for my checking the turn... I'm on my worst downswing since I started playing (nothing out of the realm of "to be expected") and I have clearly let it affect my game. Looking back at this hand there is no excuse for not getting it all in on the turn. My paranoia had me convinced that he either had a 9 or Ax of clubs. While I may have been right, there clearly are many other hands in his range that make this a must push. |
