UTG bets $24, Hero calls $24.

Turn: ($82) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

My table is image is quite tight, ive been playing at 17/13.
So I decided I would mix it up a bit an decided that i would call flop an try to take it away from villian on turn. His c-bet was 100% an his turn AF was 0 an he folded to turn bets 100%.

I check turn for pot control an make small value bet so Ax will call.

What do you think? How would you have played it differntly.
And im aware that PF play wasn't opimual.

But dont you think that by checking turn i can see if scare card comes on river and get TPGK to bet river for value?
Where as if i bet turn and bet river one pair is only gonna call the turn bet.

Would someone explain why betting turn is better then cheking for pot control and inducing a value bet from villian on river?

I get more money in by checking turn then by betting.
The only hands im beating and hes gonna call any bets are Ax, if i bet turn he calls but folds to a river bet. Where as if i check turn he may value bet river with his Ax allowing me to stick a smallish value raise in.

uhhh. i dont think he necessarily folds Ax to a river bet if u also bet the turn. Also afew draws out there that you want to charge like 9T.

checking turn for 'pot control' then raising river is just retarded
