Format suggestion
Within a forum, there are columns labeled Subject, Poster, Views, etc. The Last Post column includes the most recent poster's name, and date of the post. Why not add dates to the original Poster column also, indicating the date of the OP.
Here's why. Often times, ancient threads rise from the dead when they get a new reply. They are old enough that I don't remember the title, and the fact that I got sick of that thread ages ago. I start rereading them because the last post is so recent, and gradually recall that the thread was done to death. Or I wonder, "is this a new thread of something I'm interested in, or an old thread I don't want to revist?"
If the Poster column included dates of the OP, it would be easier to mentally place the thread.
