Default getting a box at wynn/bellagio

i tried posting in B&M section and mostly just had peoples guesses about this.
does anyone know what the criteria/depsoit is to get a box at the wynn or bellagio? is there a min. amount needed or anything. i will be staying at the lovely el cortez and would be much more comforatable not carrying all my cash around with me.

Default Prob. wrong forum, but . .

You should have no problem getting a box at the bellagio, even if staying at another hotel.

If bellagio sees you are playing in their poker room, all you have to do is politely inquire with the room manager at the desk. He/she will refer you to that banking room where the safe deposit boxes are. There is someone there 24/7, so you always have access to your box. For a $100 refundable deposit, you can have a box for as long as your stay in town.

I have never had a problem with utilizing this service. Very convenient.

On a related note. How do you guys get cash at the Belagio in the first place. Do you just show up with 10k+ in your pocket? Some kind of bank transfer?

I dont really feel comfortable carrying a 15/30 roll in cash much less a 1/2 roll.

It's just something I've grown accustomed to and you could wire the money if you don't feel comfortable carrying it...

on my first few poker trips, i was very uneasy about carrying around 3-5k anywhere. but as i move up in limits and have to bring more money, i get used to carrying it.

just bring the cash in your pocket, or a fanny pack or man purse, and then get a box somewhere and keep it there until you leave.

once you get there though, you'll feel silly for being worried about carrying that kind of cash. 5k in your pocket wont even turn heads in a casino in vegas.

I'm not sure if he posts much on 2+2 but a friend of a friend at the Tstone tourney brought maybe 15k with him. He won a ton playing 30/60 and 50/100 so by the end of the week he had around 30k on him....in his wallet. It was definitely a George Costanza beast, absolutely hilarious.

That's a huge wallet. I never was able to put more than about 6k into a standard wallet and still have it close.

yeah, i wouldn't sweat walking around with less than $50,000, honestly.

if you've got 10K in your pocket, someone within fifty feet probably has 40K, or at least they do in the bellagio.
