Don't have a read on the villan. What are your thoughts?

is a call/fold here standard without a read? i'm fairly new to the $16's and i only play them once in a while.

As played you can't fold. His range needs to be QQ+ to fold, even a small chance of him having JJ/AK makes it a call.
With even the slightest indication he is not crazy tight I push preflop. Flat calling readless is ok too I guess. |

i think i'd just call AK after the minraise and 1 limper rather than reraising it.

The reraise pre flop is your worst option IMO.
Either just call , or push pre flop. I just call, and check fold if dont hit the flop. |

[/ QUOTE ] Agree, even though I could fold this hand preflop on some days. You hit an ace or a king on one third of the flops. A couple of 100's out the window in early play is a big disadvantage when it comes to push-time later on. Pushing is a bit bad because you could end up in a coinflip, and it is too early for that here if you are a winning player. |
