Default $400nl: 175 bb stacks checked to me with air on river in $500 pot

Villan has $700 and raises utg+1, and I make it $48 from cutoff with Js9s.(I cover) He calls.

Flop: 7d8d5s

He bets, I bet $65, he calls.

Turn: As

He bets $40, I make it $155. He calls.

River: 2c.

He checks. Hero??

Like a shove here? Why or why not?

you have showed aggression all the way and can represent a good hand pretty easily thats what s good about bluffing.
a lot of draws missed and you re probably behind if villain has had one. i think you gotta bet here unless he s a calling station.

i'd rather not cbet becuase any pair calls (bar 22-44) and only broadway fold, which i imagine on that flop you are still in okay shape with.

i have no idea about shoving, personally i just check and get annoyed he called my turn bet with TT.

actually given he was getting not bad odds for calling a draw given your pretty small raise on turn, then he could have a missed draw, so maybe firing a $170 is worth it.

i raise more on turn i think.

What are you trying to represent on the turn there with that raise? AAA? When you RRed PF, it sometimes indicates a big pair and your CB on the flop is consistent. But then he comes out and donks the turn. Would you raise his turn bet here with KK/QQ or even AK? I guess maybe since it was so small. My best guess though is that he either hit the ace (like he was on a flush draw on the flop with AdXd) or he picked up some more outs (like a flush draw) to go with his 9T straight draw or JT. What types of hands have you seen this player raise and call RR's with? It seems that every draw missed but he may make a call if he hit the ace.

I think a river shove works enough here to be +EV, especially because he easily could have some combo draw or pair + diamonds that he does not want to call a big bet with, but beats your J-high. It's not like you haven't shown strength throughout; your line is consistent with AAA or a smaller set. I like the move.

lots of draws missed, he doesn't have two pair or a set...

problem is he could easily have Ax diamonds, would this player push that hand on the flop?

my concern was that he may not be able to put me on a smaller set besides AA since I 3 bet pf. He's an unknown to me, and some unknowns only put you on JJ-AA type hands if you 3 bet pf.

well if thats the case whats wrong with just calling the turn? villain could easily have Ax diamonds here... and it will be hard to get him to fold.
