Default Unsure spot OOP in raised pot

Surely I can't just give up on the flop? How is this for a plan of bet/folding the flop and betting flop and c/f the turn?

UTG+1 ($9.75)
MP1 ($7.05)
MP2 ($32)
CO ($4.30)
Button ($24.40)
Hero ($24.60)
BB ($31.15)
UTG ($16.65)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

You're up against 3 opponents and oop, so this is not the best spot to be betting. However, this might get the job done if opponents are weak post flop. The min raise pf is probably a weaker pp or weak broadway (KJ, QJ etc.) so the likelihood of pfr having an overpair is probably low. I might bet closer to $2 and evaluate turn if called (leaning towards a turn c/f unless turn card is not scary).

bet/fold flop
bet/fold turn

The problem with this is that a 9 will usually call the flop a lot.
