How big of a d-bag is this guy?
I flop a set, we're HU.
River comes, I quad up he checks, I pick up four chips to bet, he beats me in to the pot, I put my chips back down on my stack, table my hand. His bet gets pushed in to the pot, I stack, next hand he demands his bet back because I never bet, floor(new floor, clueless obviously) says yeah he gets it back. |

He played for an hour, I buried him for a rack, he left. I will see him tomorrow and do the same thing.
FWIW I can't remember the last time I felt so completely angry at someone. |

First one to vote, however really how hard would have it been to call his bet before tabling the hand?

Re: How big of a d-bag is this guy?
I would have just tossed the original 4-chip bet out there to make it clear.

He bet and you didn't call because of your no bet. He was right in all cases-you're supposed to put the chips in the pot. Not a d- bag at allbut how about you? |

Unless you're not describing this well enough, you never bet. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is correct. I actually never 'acted.' [ QUOTE ] You should have lost the hand. He bet and you didn't call because of your no bet. [/ QUOTE ] You obviously know what you're talking about. EDIT: More than once (neither of us) someone had accidentally raised, realzied there was not a raise, and nobody said anything. This was not "rule enforcing" type of table. It's a live 10-20 LHE game. |

Re: How big of a d-bag is this guy?
He checked, which is binding, and you tabled your hand, which is a check on your part. So he doesn't have a bet to call, therefore he gets his chips back.

[/ QUOTE ] OP had position on villain, who checked. If OP didn't bet, then villain couldn't bet-- he'd already checked in front of OP. It might be right to rule that the action went check-check and villain gets his river bet back. (In fact, I think that probably is right.) But it's certainly not the case that OP failed to call villain's bet, and so forfeits the hand. |
