It's these types of spots that leave me confused. No PT here, but villain has checked the nuts on the turn in a previous hand. I don't know what to do with this river. And is my turn bet just way too weak? Comments on all streets appreciated.

check it, plz-- if he has a flush or trip queens, its dead money and hes allowing you to get away cheap from his made hand... a VB here is not getting called by something unless they beat you IMO-- like to see others response

I bet $7 on turn, chck river.. [/ QUOTE ] I think 7 is too much because it's more likely to fold out worse hands and you make it harder for yourself to fold to a raise/shove. I tend to bet 4-5.5 on turn. |

Bet $6 on the turn.
What did villain do on th river when he checked the nuts on the turn? Was he first to act? I'd check the river, only hand that may call you that you beat is some type of counterfeited two pair hands like 78. |

You have to check on river as now youre pretty much beating a stubborn 8 or a weirdly played 99-JJ, thats it. If the river was a blank you could value bet, but you have to think to yourself, what are you hoping will call you that you beat when you make a bet here? Oh yea, and make it $6 on the turn like a couple others have said before.

Bet more on the turn, check behind on the river. Against an unknown, I would assume that there aren't many hands we are beating that will call a river bet.
