Default NL50 overpair flop shovvvvvvvvve

No reads or stats on villain whatsoever

Full Tilt Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

UTG ($89.15)
UTG+1 ($57.45)
MP1 ($50)
MP2 ($50)
CO ($44.60)
Button ($242.05)
Hero ($87.85)
BB ($41.90)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 calls $0.50, 1 fold, CO raises to $2, Button calls $2, Hero raises to $6.5, 1 fold, MP1 folds, CO calls $4.50, Button calls $4.50.

Flop: ($20.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $10, CO raises to $38.1 (All-In), Button folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $68.60

I basically figure that if he is willing to put all his money in with a worse hand, can I just wait for a better spot? Also now he knows I fold. Any help appreciated.

ps I know preflop was WEAK

pps just noticed I bet half the pot in a multiway. This is horrible.

what beats you here?

QQ, AA, 88.

Q8 or Q2 unlikely. would he have pushed preflop with AA?

The only thing I'm really afraid of here is QQ. I say call and if he has QQ or AA, then so be it.

personally I raise to $8 preflop. Your flop bet really looks like a weak c-bet. If I felt this guy has a brain and notices this weak bet then I call. If I just think he is playing his cards then I am on the fence.

Should have bet $15 on the flop.

First of all, what is up with this "better" spot stuff? I see that a lot on here - it's a cash game, the decision is either +EV or it isn't. It doesn't matter if it's not the most +EV situation you'll get into. If it's +EV, you make it. You're not playing a tournament.

Second of all, I don't think I could fold this. If he has 88, tough break. I think you'll see AQ more often.

Yes what he said. The CO could definetly do this with AQ IMO. Must call this.

Also depends on your 3-betting behaviour prior to that hand, I'd say...

PF and flop, raise more. You would have pot committed yourself so folding isn't an option.
As played, call.

Also, QQ/AA could play it like this. But i still call. If he has either of those hands, its a cooler.

I'm fine with the inital cbet on the flop, but you should be calling the shove imo.

Gotta call this. I think he has AQ here most of the time.

BTW, great avatar.
