AK out of position
I hate this spot out of position. Should I always be betting again on this turn or is check calling to keep the pot small okay?

Re: AK out of position
do you have any reads? my default is bet/fold here because there's so many draws. esp if btn can show up with KJ/KT. since he limp/called the button i think he can show up with any king here and bet for value again.

Re: AK out of position
Bet 18 on the turn you should reasonably be ahead of most hands and your are making reasonable draws pay.

Re: AK out of position
bet/fold is standard, i think the river is where it gets more interesting.

Re: AK out of position
1) Raise to 5-6 BB preflop in this situation. This charges him extra for coming along with garbage and makes future streets easier.
2) Bet more on the flop As played, I'd actually be OK with bet/call on the turn. If he just calls, shove blank rivers. We can most likely rule out QQ+ for now, which means you're quite a ways ahead of most hands. You'd only have to fear KQ and 88, which is extremely narrow. Honestly, I'd be shocked to see a check raise coming from him on the turn. |
