Default WSOP play along

400-800 (100)

cutoff : hero (T70,000) Been at the table for 1 hour and established tight aggressive image

SB : (T50,000) Standard older nit, although he seemed to be opening up, may have just been a rush

BB: JC Tran (T150,000)

Folds to hero in cutoff, raises Qc10s to 2200, SB and Tran both come along for the ride.

Flop Qs6c4c SB leads 2000, Tran instamucks

Hero???

Call.

EDIT: Or raise to try to get him to fold QJ-AQ. I honestly think this might be the better play.

Gobboboy,

This was my exact thinking during the hand. I opted to call, as I thought it would be easier to get him off that range on turn/river, in my experience a nitty old guy 3 bet shoves all the time here on the flop.

Turn 2h. He bets 2.5K here. I would like to hear your opinions on the same bet (a little more here but close enough). Hero???

I call because it is easier to push him off of KQ/AQ later in the hand.

I agree that nitty old guy 3-bet shoves those hands too much to make a flop raise worthwhile.

Also, and this is probably painfully obvious to most, I would much rather have QcTc in this spot than KcQc or even QcJc.

Captain Painful E. Obvious reporting for duty, sir! Is it because you can lay down QT easier?

we are beating him often enough to just call 3 smallish bets all the way down? I think I like fold river better than this but I do tend to play weak tight when ppl take the lead away from me.
