NL50: Firing 2nd barrel in rr pot with K high

Villain is running 63/15/1 over about 60 hands, but is very aggro postflop. He's been floating a ton, lots of double barrels, (I took a nice pot from him calling big flop and turn bets with 2PWK against his 95o) some suspected triple barrels. He's called flop checkraises with bottom pair, or two overs. Doesn't seem quite so loose on turn though.
He's also been doing some odd stuff preflop, like limping behind with JJ, yet raising T2o in MP.

I've been incredibly card dead, and am running about 7/6, so this play was based a lot on my image.

If I check the turn, I just know this guy is going to bet with ATC (which could be 2 overs, a PP), so I fired the second barrel as I'm repping a big pair, and may well have 6 outs if called.

I'm folding to a shove.

I considered that when I repopped preflop, that I may have to fire a second barrel against this guy. This is something I do very rarely, but was it OK here or spew?

I doubt he's folding any PP/part of the board here[although it missed alot] and may call with Ace high so I don't like it - with 22 there may be a case [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Preflop I fold, vs these types I prefer to call/3bet IP. This is a 3bet pot and you have 6 outs max and no showdown value so I don't like it.

vbetting &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; 2nd barreling a CS type in a 3bet pot.

If you've got some evidence that villan can fold then it's o.k. but even some regTAGs call with 99 here.

but as played, if you really want to double barrel and you think villan bets with any two, why not just raise on the turn here and really show strength... that would be more effective in getting him to fold than leading but i really don't like it the double barrel because your hand has no showdown value

I guess I should have added a couple of things, although he called flop raises pretty light, there were always in position, and if he sensed weakness on turn he was usually pouncing with a PSB. He certainly wasn't a calling station though. If he went to showdown, he usually had a strong hand.

He also had folded a few times pre to a 3-bet, and given my image and his raise on the button I thought repopping it here PF was OK.

C/r on turn isn't really viable, as he likes pot size bets, and will be pot commited if I shove over him on turn.

yeah i guess a c/r would be bad caus he would be pot commited, just thinking of a better bluff-- i wouldn't make this play with k high OOP though, i don't think its a good double barreling hand

6.50 pre, 10.50 flop, push turn.

Exactly. With those stats this guy is calling with just about anything. You essentially tried to bluff him three times (3-bet with KJ is a bluff, c-bet with nothing but two overs is a bluff, 2nd barrel is a bluff). You really should have stopped at one, let alone three. Actually, I'd be inclined to say that none of this should have taken place.
