Default 200nl, top 2 pair against aggression, easy call?

villain is pretty bad, running 51/11/0.9 over 45 hands

he likes check/mini raise..

I had those two hands against him earlier

hand 1: I actually put him on an ace here, clearly trying to bluff an unknown off an ace is not a good idea

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $204.00
BB: $338.20
UTG: $156.15
MP: $215.00
Hero (CO): $284.90
BTN: $72.60

Preflop: Hero is dealt 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG calls $2.00, MP folds, Hero raises to $10.00, 3 folds, UTG calls $8.00

Flop: ($23) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG bets $10.00, Hero raises to $30.00, UTG calls $20.00

Turn: ($83) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $132.00, UTG calls all-in for $116.15
Uncalled bet of $15.85 returned to Hero

River: ($315.30) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $315.30 ($3 Rake)

UTG had J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (a pair of Aces) and WON (+$156.15)
Hero had 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and LOST (-$156.15)

hand 2: he sure call pretty light, the blocking bet on river was kind interesting

Villain clearly doesn't like to fold with any piece, raise the turn some. You don't have to shove, just get him committed.

Hand 1 is a total trainwreck. Hand 2 fine and hand 3 not raising the turn is ridiculous.

hand 1 was indeed pretty bad, I was running hot and felt like I can push everyone out of TP even if I had no reads on him

about this hand, for what ever reason I was afraid of AK there on the turn. Also, giving the previous hand, I thought he had at least top pair here, and if he had that, he's committed all the way already.

Need more info on this player. In a vacuum I call based on your hand strength alone and the weakness you showed on the turn. It would have been much easier to make a decision for all of your chips if you would have raised the turn and got shoved on. Your turn line reeks of weakness and thus a river shove with TP or busted straight draw seems logical.

I actually don't mind hand 1, yes it's a bit risky w/o reads but most players would give up to your shove. He's reraising flop w/ set or 2 pair with the fdraw on board. Can't hurt metagame either.
Hand 2 is good.
Hand 3 I probably raise turn tho I don't know wht he's getting at with the minraise, would he minr with AK?

Hand 3 he possibly minraised with KJ and picked up a pair. He bet out small hoping for a cheap draw. It missed and he figured you had a better hand and that hearts might scare you so he bluffed. As seen in hand 2 though, if he has a hand worthy of showdown, he'll blockbet and not attempt to bluff a scary board.

Or he has a set of 5's or QT but the big river bet makes no sense with those hands. Players aren't always logical though so...

You really should have raised and called all in on the turn.
As played you have a really tough decision. Personally he seems donkish enough that I'd call.

thanks for all the great comments, I was afraid of AK from him, and I believe he would play it exactly like this.

however, there is so much other one pair hand that he could play this way as well.. so I called and won against Q9o

Remember not to be just results oriented (which I am guessing you aren't since you posted here for help). You need to determine the range of hands an opponent can have and figure out if your equity is good against the entire range.
