Even idiots get AK?
Don't use his OPR as reads. If you don't have a read here, you should have folded pre. If you really want this pot, you pretty much have to smooth call float him and hope he doesn't fire a second barrel because he had a high PP cracked. |

Goodness. You are calling with A9o preflop because? (Ans: either to bluff if he checks or to get some value out of an A).
Now you are concerned about what to do when he cont. bets with an A on the board? Think about the logic of this - something is amiss here. What I would do is call on the flop, because there is a lot of value here; if he checks on the turn, check back; if he fires on the river, re-evaluate situation and go from there. If he checks on the river, make a smallish bet for value. Hey may call you down with JJ or something. Also, It's VERY tempting to start making plays that you wouldn't against someone who's statistics are bad in MTTs. I like to see some play and let that play speak for itself. Like, I see a regular who has made 60K in the 69+6, and I start to think he's solid, but then he manages to play terribly and he's just a luckbox or playing like ass on this particular day. I like to let play speak for itself. Secondly, 200 MTTs is not a great sample size. Barry |

Heh, villian in that hand has -91% ROI after 202 tournaments. Even after placing third in this one that OP posted about. If my math is right, his ROI after 201 tournaments was -98.5%. That's pretty remarkable, no?

yes it is... Incredible achievement...
yes... ty guys... Obviously this is a lame spot I'm putting myself in... I checkraise him all in on flop, while he's holding AK. My reasoning as this is happening is that his OPR statistics are awfull and the minreraise 6K preflop makes no sense, so I just decide to go with the hand if A hits flop.... Obviously will be carefull with using OPR stats as basis for player skills.... Should have folded to reraise OOP.... |

Since you have no reads, minreraises from uberdonks generally tend to be huge hands. I'd fold PF without a more solid read.
