Is this a bad play? (preflop)
A friend says I should be calling here almost 100% of the time, not raising, I mix it up.
Normal 100BB stacks. $100NL pretty loose game 6 handed. I have 55 in big blind. CO raises $4 first in, Button calls $4, SB folds, I make it $16. |

Re: Is this a bad play? (preflop)
Call. Maybe win a nice pot if you hit your set, fold flop otherwise.

Re: Is this a bad play? (preflop)
3betting is fine. just make it more if you do. whether you should 3bet or not depends a lot on your opponents. i guess if both players are fairly loose/bad postflop then calling probably is best here.

Re: Is this a bad play? (preflop)
It really depends in this spot. But a tight good image is crucial for making this play the best one. You need to have your opponants giving you respect. This means you shouldnt do this if you 3b recently, or just beeing generally active at the table. Also if you have a loose/crazy/donkish image, setmining becomes more profitable which makes aggression preflop less neccesary.

Re: Is this a bad play? (preflop)
In a multiway pot set mining is better than reraising. Headsup I probebly reraise or flod though.
