Default lhe - 38 hands vs my huhu nemesis

note: stakes are 5/10 but the converter screwed up and I feel cooler with it like this anwyays. converter also screwed up all the pot sizes and some hand numbering, sorry

this guy is a fish when it gets multiway, but huhu he has been running me over lately. he has certainly been getting the better part of the variance (running at 41/58 vs me over 300 hands ), but I think he is pretty good at huhu as well.

I can't get at my notes on him right now but I will try to give you a good feel for how he plays:

button stats: 88%vpip 70%pfr
BB stats: 60%vpip 15%3bet

he is capable of 3betting light

he will often check behind very marginal hands in position (high card, bottom pair), but will also occasionally check behind a good hand

he will sometimes slowplay a good hand to the turn OOP. will also fastplay. he is will fastplay weaker hands OOP but also uses them as bluff catchers

he likes to slowplay strong hand in position when I have the initiative (ie I 3bet pre)

I just looked through these again and they don't seem that interesting. oh wells, I'll post some more stuff from this guy later.

here goes,

******* Hand 1 ********

Pre-flop: (2 players) yourface is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
yourface raises, SB calls.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2SB, 2 players)
SB checks, yourface bets, SB calls.

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (1BB, 2 players)
SB checks, yourface checks.

River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (1BB, 2 players)
SB checks, yourface checks.

Results:
Final pot: 1BB
SB shows 9H KS
yourface shows QD10S

vs most villains I would fire the turn here, but this guy can have a slowplayed pair+ that he is planning on c/r or ace/king high that he wants to show down.

dunno how to feel about this one. playing passively on the flop lets him play well, and I'd like him to fold 6 out hands to my c/r. fold to the turn raise?

Just some general thoughts:

This guy is so bad.

I would start donking some flops given that he's checking a ton of them through. See how he reacts then adjust.

Don't 3-barrel him.

Find out which off tempo checks are weak and which aren't. This will involve taking some shots when your not sure. If he comes back strong note it.

I don't think there's a lot of mystery to this guy. Don't over think the situation because you're running bad vs. him. Just keep playing until you have all his money.

what would be a reasonable frequency to donk flops with different hand types?

if I'm going to be doing it with made hands I should do it with draws and bluffs as well so as not to be easily readable

I suppose that I could solve this mathematically by determining how often I will have different hand types on different flop textures, and from that figure out donking frequencies such that my donk bet has an equally likely chance to be any of those 3 possibilities

perhaps a good estimation would be to donk pairs 25%, draws 40%, and cheese 10%

agree with leader about donking flops. I would start donking just about all of them that have a chance to win when he calls, esp stuff like A/K high.

the convertor is always switching sb/bb right?

hand 3
why raise? let him bluff off the river

hand 14
how do you lose to this guy

hand 18
I would check that turn. he almost never folds

hand 22
i would bet turn

hand 27
this guy is awful

hand 30
i guess if you get a free card a lot peel is close. not great though. i'm shocked that you do on that board.

hand 38
just based on the hands in this session I would fold to the turn raise

looks good. you made him sound a lot tougher. this guy is really really bad, play him as much as possible.

I want him to give me lots of free turn cards when I am OOP, this is more of a metagame than a value play

hes up 100+ bets on me, pretty sicko

I think that winning this pot was a result of my play turn play in hand 3, as I have never seen him check down a hand this weak before

the 8 is def not a good card for us, would you bet a brick or A/K turn

the thought process that I gave was really what I was thinking, but this peel is def not standard for me. I was probably just pissed at running bad vs him AGAIN

I will post some more hands vs this guy in the near future. he seeks me out almost every time I sit alone at a table so I won't have trouble getting action.

maybe I am overestimating him, it can be hard to be objective sometimes with huhu variance being as sick as it is

are you saying that I should be donking K and A high? or that I should be donking any hands that beat A and K high?

played another mini sess with him
41 hands, he wins 80% of showdowns, -20 bets
then he tells me I "am still easy to read" and quits

If you see him adjust, adjust. Don't adjust if he'll just call you down anyway and raise with nothing when you donk. Being on level 2 when villain is on level 0 is just as bad as being on level 1 when he's on level 2.

Way too much thinking for this guy.
