$16 TurboStars: Why is my pushing range larger in 2nd hand?
I've just started using SnGPT to work on my bubble play. I am comparing two bubble hands here... both from the same tournament:
PokerStars Game #11129301462: Tournament #56449026, $15+$1 Hold'em No Limit - Level VIII (200/400) - 2007/07/25 - 14:52:24 (ET) Hero/Button (1980) SB (3475) BB (6540) UTG (1505) *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to HERO [?,?] UTG: folds HERO: ???? PokerStars Game #11129305915: Tournament #56449026, $15+$1 Hold'em No Limit - Level VIII (200/400) - 2007/07/25 - 14:52:41 (ET) UTGA (1955) Button (3250) SB (6815) BB (1480) *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to HERO [?,?] HERO: ???? My question has to do with pushing ranges. According to SnGPT, my pushing range is larger in the second and (when I am UTG) than it is in the first hand (when I am on the button). Is this true? What are the reasons for this? |

I really couldn't tell you unless I know what hand ranges you are assigning to your opps. Also from now on plz convert hands...converters found in FAQ.

Re: $16 TurboStars: Why is my pushing range larger in 2nd hand?
this one is going to be determined by the call ranges you set for villains. i would imagine what happened was you put the big stack (on BB) in the first hand on a very wide range. most of your equity comes from fold equity and having a really wide range (especially on the bigstack) kills most of your equity on the push.
