folding AA
I'd like to hear your take on this one that just came up. I'm working on my note taking but I had the button as standard pf, often raising when he gets a hand (reraising with KQo). SB has so far played tight in his hand selection and a complete maniac when he catches something, raising and reraising and then showing middle pair etc. BB seems standard nano limit player.

Final Pot: 25 BB How do you play this one? Because I was the only raise pf I didn't really think QQ was in there, perhaps a smooth call with JJ. The betting then became a bit fierce so I guessed I was up against two pair/an aggressive opponent playing a straight draw. I think I should have folded when I cold called on the flop but I'm not sure if raising and folding on the same round is a good idea, is that giving my opponents too much credit? When the 9 came on the turn I knew I was beaten so I folded. Would you have played it any differently? Do you think there's much in raising and folding on the same round? Will it encourage opponents to attempt to push you off a pot later on? Thanks. |

Re: folding AA
I like the way you played it, with 3 players going nuts I think we can fold the turn.

Re: folding AA
I don't see how you can put villians on a hand range that beats top pair here. SB is a maniac as likely to have kj as kt. BB as likely to have aq as 99 or qq. The 9 puts a flush draw on the board which is often enough for someone to throw a raise in. Plus, it's .05/.10 where people aren't known for being aware of other people's cards. I think you can go into call down mode here and be good over half the time on the turn. The river sinks you but you didn't know what the river was when you folded the turn.
