Best donkaments in middle of strip?
What are the best daily/weekly/whatever tournaments in terms of rake paid (i.e. the Palms has a $40+$15 yikes!!!), startng chips, starting blinds and blind raise times? If I do play any tournies I'd prefer ones where you arent short stacked from the get go with insane blind increase times and all in fests from the start. Or is this just a pipe dream and thats they way they all are.

Re: Best tournaments in middle of strip?
i'm not a tournament player so I couldn't tell ya, but I do know the venetion was running a really nice deep stack tournament during the world series. I'm not sure if it is something they always do, but it seemed to be nice, and those that I've talked to says it has really nice structure. I contemplated playing it a few times, and if you have never played at the venetion, come down and say hi =).. my favorite poker room in town.

Re: Best donkaments in middle of strip?
I like the Caesar's tourneys weekdays at noon and 7pm and Venetian at 8pm. Caesar's has a brutal blind jump from 75/150 to 100/200/25. But it happens after the second level (and first break) which is 80 minutes in.
The Venetian at noon during the week is expensive at $340 but has about the best structure around. The Caesar's $330 at 3:30 Saturdays is deep as well. Lots of time to play poker in both of those. |

Re: Best donkaments in middle of strip?
Is TI really a 60+5? I am pretty sure it is a 50+15. 60 buy-in of which 10 is withheld for "expenses" and the 5 "add-on" is for the dealers. 15 juice is the standard in town for low buy-in tournaments. The only way to get better is to go to higher buy-ins.

Las Vegas Poker Tournament Ratings [/ QUOTE ] I like tables and charts as much as the next guy, but can anyone help me decipher the more abstract ratings on that table? |

Re: Best donkaments in middle of strip?
This is very straight forward. The slower the blind structure rises compared to original chips, the better the patience factor. Best patience factor tend to be 200+ dollar buyins. That said some on the list have lower buyins with good structure. BTW this is not updated for changes to Caesar's general tourneys.
