Default To live players: why do you play limit?

Spun off of dynacraze's post (so i dont thread hijack):

So, live players (and ONLY live players please!)...why do you guys play limit? you dont have to compare it to nl if you dont want to...simple reasons why you guys play in general is cool :-)

for me:

-it pays

-it gives me free alcohol (so does nl i guess, but i cant drink and play nl for some reason).

-unlike when i've played live nl, it tends to promote social interaction. there arent staredowns and other such bs in fixed limit games.

-im just plain much better at limit than nl.

-finally, 2 naughty things i like about limit poker. ill prob get bashed for this by some nits on here but whatever.

1) i can suckout more. sucking out is fun and is often correct in limit.
2) (related to #1) i can raise a draw more often. raising draws is fun. and also usually correct.

basically, IMO limit poker is more of a "gambling" game than nl, and promotes more of a fun social atmosphere than nl. i like making money at it, but i like having fun just as much. during most of my limited forays into live nl play (small sample size i know), i've found it to be boring and unfriendly compared to limit.

My primary reason for playing limit over nl live is that I'm just plain better at it. I also find live nl holdem to be just so bloody boring. I can handle it online every now and then, but this is likely only because I get more hands in.

I also like the fact that you can actually draw out on people in limit, especially live. In the live $4/$8 games I play, you're getting odds to draw to all kinds of things in almost every pot.

Hoping to move up to $15/$30 soon... just need another grand or so :P.

The thought of losing my stack to some donkey drawing to 3 cards or less is simply horrifying.

Generally speaking, I think it is an easier game to play (extra decisions to be made in NL as you must size your bets).

The social atmosphere is nicer, lots of retirees and the like who are mostly there to have a good time.

I'm quite likely a better limit player as opposed to no limit, by virtue of the fact that I have studied it way more and am good at crunching numbers. Conversely, I lack the intuitive feel required for NL.

The casino six blocks from my house doesn't spread NL.

That's probably all.

im too busto to play NL

I am better at limit than NL however. Live NL is just so much more profitable than live limit though. Think about getting a hand like pocket 5s on a 5-a-q flop, in limit you can only make so much off of someone with AK, in NL, you can usually get it allin on flop or turn

1) I'm better at Limit.
2) A lot of people see Limit as a game your are playing pretty relaxed and don't see the angles which make you a winning player, they don't care about a bet more or less, which eventually makes them big losing limit players.
3) Athmosphere as mentioned
4) I like raising/playing a lot of draws, and the suprised faces when people who are pretty new to the game.
5) I hate playing 4 hours, and loosing my stack, cause of one suck-out in NL. Online I can win on the other 49 tables you are playing, Live there is no time and I get grumpy.

Distance to the nearest cardroom with limit poker = 3 miles.

Distance to the nearest cardroom with nolimit poker = 90 miles.

Usual amount of time I can free myself to go to a cardroom = 4-6 hours.

I also think I understand the intricacies of limit better than the in NL, so there are more spots in limit where I can find value, and I enjoy the game more.

Why do I play limit hold'em? Because I would have no clue of what to do in this situation.
