usually stupid, dont ck call the scare cards. very often he ll only put a bet in when ur beat this way and u miss out on value from hands like JT 9x ect that may pay off still.

here id bet call for the few times hed play worse trips this way, if the turn was a black 2 id bet fold this river vs most including this villain

while u may have been right here and saved a bet, generally this habit (ck calling scare cards) will kill ur winrate and profits. Its not a small leak usually, altho some spots call for a ck call line obviously when uve been the aggressor, dont think this is one.

I think I play it the same. I think you're saving a bet here more often than you're missing one. You may or may not be missing bets if villain's got a weaker Q as he may bet it now that you check anyway. You may even get a "bluff" with a villain that's got JJ, and you may get a true bluff from 87. I think the times when you really miss is when he's got stuff like TJ,AT,A9,J9 but then again he may fold some of those hands on this river when you bet anyway.

Checking this river is a big leak. Dont let 98 get a free showdown.

checking this river misses tons of value.

I think he'd get a super easy value bet from JJ

i like to bet and call raise on river, but if u desided to check call, its not a bad play,as he might bet hand he won`t call with,ok play by me
