25NL - AA dodging bullets?
Hi I am a 6max player trying out FR and my expectation is getting absolutely killed because I can't play overpairs correctly in FR.
villain is decent multitabler - 15/11/1 Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $25.70 BB: $6.65 Hero (UTG): $35.85 UTG+1: $12.70 MP1: $14.65 MP2: $29.25 CO: $25.00 BTN: $36.55 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (8 Players) Hero raises to $1.25, 2 folds, MP2 calls $1.25, CO calls $1.00, 3 folds Flop: ($4.10) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players) Hero bets $3.00, MP2 folds, CO calls $3.00 Turn: ($10.10) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, CO bets $3.00, Hero..., Pretty sure correct line is to bet/fold turn but I really decimated this hand when I played it. Does anyone think calling down > bet/fold turn? I give you FR'ers props -- overpairs are absolute hell in this game |

Bet the turn with the hopes of getting all the money in.

Re: 25NL - AA dodging bullets?
IDK, looking at the bet, im inclined to call and value bet the river. He's not going to raise the river without a monster, and he's going to check behind if your beat. I dont think you're behind as often as you seem to think.
You;ll know more if you bet here..if you get raised I would then maybe lay down...but you checked and he put a small bet out...thats not raising alarms...couldnt it be AQ or even KK? Its one thing to go broke with overpairs, its quite another to not take small losses. It happens, no biggie. |

Re: 25NL - AA dodging bullets?
Since you didn't bet the turn, now you should raise to $13-$15 and shove river if called.

Re: 25NL - AA dodging bullets?
Against a normal donk, you of course bet this turn for value and protection.
Since you seem to think this villian is decent, I guess a check isn't that bad, but thinking about folding this hand is. If he was decent and he had a monster he would bet more than 3 dollars, heck, if he was decent he would either check or bet more than 3 dollars regardless of what he had wouldn't he? IMO, he probably has QJ or KQ or something and is actually a donk. If he was OOP, it might be a blocking bet, or an invitation to raise so that he could get more money in, but in position, I don't see a good reason for a 3 dollar bet unless he is psychic and knows you have AA and might raise it. I would probably raise here, but if you don't like to get full value from your aces I guess you could call. |

Re: 25NL - AA dodging bullets?
He's really tight, I don't see him calling your pre-flop raise with Q9.
The only three hands that beat you: 99 77 |

Re: 25NL - AA dodging bullets?
I don't think he's got QQ. You d'ont want to see a 3 way flop with QQ, and with a raiser and a caller... he did non re raise pre flop, obv no QQ here.
IMHO he probably got AQ, so i raise his 3$ bet, good spot to double up. |
