don't see the point of your turn bet. is he going to fold K/J-high flush? will he fire any river if you check? what do you put him on?

Check the turn to induce a river bluff.

they are obvious answers. no worse hands i can beat will call and worse hands will bet if checked. problem putting him on a hand is he had played every hand. more the reason to check, he was fairly passive - mainly the reason i didnt think to check to induce.

If he is that passive, a check also allows him to make a worse hand (straight??) and call a river bet.
