3. Check the flop, please. I like pot control here, increasing the chances that a passive SB will call with a smaller pair on a later street or will bluff to me on a later street. SB has checked, which could be a slow play or could be an elaborate trap waiting to happen. Whatever the case, I'll let him have his 5 outs (2 for set, 3 for ace) once so he can try to [censored] with me later.

Apparently, the beautiful thought process of many of these players is becoming "well, I'm OOP, so what I'm going to do is check, let him bet, which I know he will, and THEN I'm going to fire away on the turn like a beast because there is no way he has the K, can't be, nope, not him, and I'm going to win the pot." Having said that, if you do in fact have 31K, I'm definitely calling this bet. Look at that [censored] ridiculous bet on the turn, look at your stack, and start to kick some [censored] ass.

Well about the 31k I got lucky. first hand I had KK vs. twice AJ, soon later I had AA vs KK vs QQ, board was AKxxx.
Right now I'm at 40000 chips, 11th of 127..hopefully I'll get to the final table of the 17.5k for the first time [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Btw: thanx for your reply, I was very very close to calling but too afraid to lose so many chips...I know, that was a mistake, I should b eplaying for the win

I have no problem with betting this flop.

I think a K might bet a more standard amount to try and get some value out of your hand. His bet screams "don't call". Basically, I can't see something like KT-AK making this bet, I could see a weak king, a pair of 7's and a middle pocker pair making this move. I don't have PokerStove here to see how this range fares with your odds, but I would think this might be a call.

i call this seems weak he didnt check rai flop. he didn't check it to u on the turn or make a value bet. you know why? HE WANTS YOU TO FOLD! you have enough chips to insta call here. expect 88-jj alot here or a flush draw. he will have a king sometimes too or a set but not enough to fold
