$10 +1 SnG KQ gets unexpected post flop action
Poker Stars 10 +1 180 person sit n go.
Villain here has been aggressive in BSB play and has seen aggressive action from me. Both he and I have had Ms that floated between 12 and 4 for most of the time so I probably look semi-maniacal. The two principles in conflict here are that I would expect him to raise with an A here, but post flop he's not shown to get money involved without solid holdings so I don't know whether I was getting trapped or if I'm seeing a move. We're maybe six spots from the money. I rarely play these (first MTT post). Thanks in advanced for any feedback. I doubt he's playing off of your semi-maniacal image.
Without a better read, I'd have to fold. |

[ QUOTE ]
Without a better read, I'd have to fold. [/ QUOTE ] Maybe five orbits earlier he made a 3x raise from the SB and I pushed with a small pocked pair. He thought about it, and called with about 2 1/2 BB left. He won the hand with Ax. He had one other opportunity to raise the blind which he did. I had not seen him limp the button or SB. He was attacking and defending liberally from the blinds. I would expect him to have raised or pushed with here with good hands (including Ax or 33) as I had shown a willingness to give action. No one with which he would've been expected to raise should've hit him on this board (expect maybe a K3s). |

Re: $10 +1 SnG KQ gets unexpected post flop action
Check Behind or shove this PF.
I doubt that villian will fold to 3xBB raise PF given your history. Raising only bloats a pot where any c-bet is going to commit you on the flop. We will be left with ~7BB if you fold and there is a lot of chips in the middle. Calling is out of the question as u aint getting a showdown without all your chips going in. Folding leaves you in a spot where you have to get very lucky to make a good cash. I would shove and hope he has with a weaker King or underpair and thinks that I am full of it. |

Re: $10 +1 SnG KQ gets unexpected post flop action
Pf raise is fine and perfectly standard. You raise because you are in position with a very good hand that often dominates his and you are happy to call his limp-shove.
Flop a check behind is best to let him fire a barrel when he is behind. Since you bet though you have to call his raise. Call turn if he bets, value shove if he checks. Check behind on a spade turn. Also, read shaundeeb's guide to the 180s in the anthology sticky. It is a must for anyone playing the 180s |
