Re: NL50: AA vs call and C/R on flop = fold?
Meh, no reads grumble grumble grumble.
I hate spots like this. I usually call this and fold to much more action. C/R are big hands so much of the time, but with AA he could have KK, QQ, AT, etc. as well as the monsters TT, T9, 99, 22. My line is to call and reevaluate, folding to a big pressure on a blank turn, but i'm not sure my line is the best. |

tough spot.
I would be inclined to call, in position and see the turn. If the villain keeps firing, you probably have to fold, altho if u turn a 2 it might be harder to get away from |

Re: NL50: AA vs call and C/R on flop = fold?
lil bush is a great episode-- as for the hand, i think i push because he can easily do this with a10 since the cutoff just called your CB, he may suspect both of you are weak and trying to take it down early-- figuring he can get any overs to fold... as well as on the push i think he calls with jjs, qqs and kings, which he slowplayed preflop from the bb-- but im a newb and can't get away from big hands...

Re: NL50: AA vs call and C/R on flop = fold?
no reads? How could you have more than doubled up on this table and have no reads on either guy?
How about how they perceive you? Did you smack someone with a sweet play that might have looked lucky to idiots? Well, if they're not idiots, I can't see a c/r into two players as anything but very strong and better than one pair. What do you beat? JJ? A really bad bluff? QJ making a play? (probably would've raised more). Man, this one sucks. BB can't but think that CO has a pair or an OESD and you have a good overpair - does anyone still cbet AK into 4 players? This is nearly a coin-flip between push and fold for me. Have to push because CO will be getting fantastic odds to call with a good hunk of his holdings if you flat call. Intellectually, I lean towards fold -- damn, it's hard to fold AA, so I doubt I do it at the table. Give me something, anything to sway me here and I could go either way. |

No reads because they both joined the table 5 hands ago or so.
BTW, I folded, CO folded too, BB showed set of 2's. |

Re: NL50: AA vs call and C/R on flop = fold?
I would've folded here as you did, but I wouldn't have been happy about it. Like Kasane mentioned, the key here is he check-raised into two people which is a sign of significant strength.
