Theory Post: STOP POSTING COOLERS AND BEATS
I DEMAND YOU ( ) to STOP posting hands in which:
1) Are standard, yet you get coolered and lose 2) Are standard, yet you get sucked out on and lose GUESS WHAT PEOPLE!! Sometimes you play fine and something bad happens. THATS POKER. No, you don't need to post the hand to try and imagine if you could have played it differently. No, you don't need to post the hand and wonder whether you could have made a spectacular fold or done something ridiculous, and then spend 20 posts trying to justify it with ridiculous ranges and analysis that basically makes you a worse player. Seriously, I see people posting standard hands and then spending like an hour trying to justify something ridiculous and GUESS WHAT, they are basically reasoning themselves backwards and lowering their understanding of concepts by working in the wrong direction. |

Re: Theory Post: STOP POSTING COOLERS AND BEATS
Maybe it would help if you posted more than one-word answers to every post(Like, Fold, Bet/3 Bet All-in which actually adds nothing to any discussion cause even if you are right the people who are wrong still don't know why....Instead maybe you could tell them why their ranges are way off or whatever....

[/ QUOTE ] k, thats a whole different topic. If you feel someone has offered a one-word answer that doesn't serve much purpose, go ahead and quote it and ask them to explain why. But anyways, this particular thread is not about that at all. It is simply asking people to refrain from posting hands in which they know are standard, yet refuse to accept (since they lost the hand) and work themselves backward into an undesireable/incorrect understanding of things. |

Re: Theory Post: STOP POSTING COOLERS AND BEATS
Sometimes you need to post a "standard" hand to validate that indeed it is standard and you're not leaking. I've posted a few on small pairs that seemed standard, but I kept second guessing myself (largely due to a "beat"). Turns out at least one of the cases wasn't standard, even though they all seemed about the same to me.
