Default 10nl FR: should I just NEVER slowplay?

This is a full-ring game that's down to 6 players. I have a lot to learn.

I'm playing taggy and mostly folding everyone out with my cbets. Flop seemed like a rare good place to slowplay. The board pairing seemed to give me an excuse to donk into the turn, but maybe that's a bad idea -- checkraise?

The river raise obviously makes me puke. Fold? Should I have not bet out?

i don't ever slowplay at nl10. the only kind of hand where i'd even consider it is something like KK on K82r. if the board is paired, people just think you're bluffing, so i won't even slowplay an overfull. i definately don't slowplay a flopped flush, even with the A, because there's just too many people that will chase with anything down to about an 8 in that suit or that will instantly throw away all their chips with top pair so they don't get flushed.

*grunching*

i wouldn't slowplay on the flop, but rather bet out to 1) build the pot and 2) charge anyone holding Ace [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] to draw to their Ace-hi flush

i don't understand why the turn pairing made you wanna donk bet... were you representing FH? Why not CR then?

As played, i'd need reads on the player to help decide on a call or fold: The fact that he merely limped OTB preflop with just one limper in front makes me think he DOESN'T hold an Ace in his hand... combined with reads on how aggro he is, i can be more sure

I see how that's much better

but really, you have a preflop raiser, I don't. I've got the 2nd nuts, you've got a 6. Your flop is likely to have hit the raiser hard. no, wait a minute...

with the lack of action so far, I'm representing a 4. I saw the flop for free, called a lousy minbet with 2nd pair, and now have a decent hand that any old flush might beat. I'm being too clever by half, at least. Really I think I just knew I should be betting.

Don't slowplay less than quads.

I bet the flop here to about .30, bet the turn to about .75 assuming I get one caller on the flop, and c/call the river.

It's hard to make a lot of money on flops like this when you are ahead, but it is easy to lose a lot of money when you are beat.

Sick play i would fold i think he has the Ace of clubs. Obviously he does not have a trips cuz he would have pushed at the turn he would have pushed the flop with set so no full house, any top pair, two pair, or whatever between the flop and the turn he could push. If he had a weak club with a pair or something a call makes sense, i think he had Ac4x.
