How would you play this?
.50 - 1.00 8 handed at FullTilt.
Pre-Flop: Hero is UTG+1 with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero Raises, folds around to the SB who re-raises, BB folds, Hero calls. (I have about 9,200 hands on this player-he is aggressive but loves to bluff and is a big loser at this limit (-$180.00 approx.)) Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain bets, (Okay, I have top pair with third best kicker, he could be on a flush draw but I want better definition of his hand) Hero raises, Villain calls (5.5 BB) Turn: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain checks, (He is either going to c/c or c/r. I'm putting this at 50/50) Hero bets, Villain raises (8.5BB) (did the 7 help him? am I now up against two pair? Or is he semi-bluffing with an Ace and weaker kicker?) So, what would you do here? I'll post more later... |

[ QUOTE ]
...he...loves to bluff... [/ QUOTE ] What does he do if you play back at him? If he's going to fold his worst holdings and only keep going with his best, then call down. If he's going to call down regardless of his hand, 3-jack. With this read the usual "rules" about turn c/r's don't apply. You should also have considered capping pf. |

Re: How would you play this?
Since you have so many hands, what are the stats? I think the question comes whether or not to bet the river when he checks to us.

Re: How would you play this?
If he 3-bet a lot pf a cap may be in order. I don't like the flop raise. If he has a pure bluffing hand (again I don't know how aggro he is pf) he is drawing very thin and we don't want him to fold. As played I would call down. Ur hand is not worth a third bet IMO.

Re: How would you play this?
I'd call down here.
Against this kind of player, I cap PF. We have in position postflop and have a powerhouse hand. Go for it. Regarding the turn, it's good to bet here, if that's what you ask; if you put the chances at 50/50 for c/c vs c/r, you need to consider that a c/r-bluff is possible and therefore you'll make more money in the long run. |

Re: How would you play this?
If you're HU, I raise the turn instead of the flop.
