hi dumb question...i was in a 5 dollar 200 person tourney got down to final 4 blinds were 2,400 i was short stacked wit 15 thousand....i went all in on the button wit a3 offsuite got called n lost just wondering if u should always do that in that spot

Assuming you were the first one into the pot, yeah, that's pretty standard. Just tough luck that someone had a hand worth calling you with (or called anyway & beat you).
