Re: NL 50 KK vs Turn all in
Raise more preflop. That was an easy, correct call for villain preflop. After that your play looks fine. You're probably ahead of villains range on the turn. If you're behind you still have outs and there is dead money in the pot.

Re: NL 50 KK vs Turn all in
I don't think you did anything wrong.
You're probably losing on the turn, but you're also getting 4:1 with an overpair and a draw to the second nut flush (in addition to a set draw versus an underset). You could be drawing dead versus AsTs, it's true, but that shouldn't be the case too often given the scarcity of available AsXs combos that you'd expect Villain to raise and then call with preflop, and in any event as compensation you will sometimes be ahead of, like, AsQd. Your available stack size is a little awkward on the flop, since a pot-sized bet leaves you with just a relatively trivial amount left to bet on the turn. As a result, pushing is an option, I think, as is betting something more like $16 just to leave a little more behind. I don't think it matters all that much, though. Anyway, since you asked, if MP3 had QQ, his preflop call was fine. If he knew you had KK, then the call would be marginal (though not horrible), but he didn't know that and has to figure that he'll have the best hand a decent chunk of the time, even against a 3-bet. |
