pretty standard problems with both AK and being OOP...maybe try beting a little less both pre and post fop...This will allow for a smaller C bet and making it easier to get away...It is pretty early in these tournies to be committed with just slick...also there is no hard and fast rule about c betting here especially with multiple opponents...mix in some checks too and see ehat they do and play off that

What stakes are these at? Villians seem to be calling light.

At the stakes I play ($11-$33), I tend to make smaller PF raises with AK, especially early in the tourney, because the blinds really aren't worth much and people call too loosely. Better to get them to call along with Ax/Kx and then make a big payday when you hit TPTK (or brush it off if they hit two pair).

Both flops are pretty raggedy, so I agree with cbetting and trying to take them down.

Hand 1, on turn, it may be weak, but I fold. I think calling is bad, and I wouldn't want to CR because villian knows you don't have a 7.

Hand 2, I jam the turn as well. OOP, that's your strongest move, and you have ten outs if he calls.

I think the pfr amount is fine, that's about what I usually do. Totally agree about mixing in a fair amount of checks against multiple opponents, especially if they're the kind that are going to call here with any piece of the flop. Usually only takes a few hands to find the stations. Against some real agro guys who will bet anything when checked to in position you can even try a CRAI sometimes, but that should be on rare occasions. The thing about AK is that you get so much value from it when an A comes and these donks stack off with A4 or whatever junk they were playing. Because of that, you don't really have to get too cute when you brick, because you get so much value when you hit. The reason they are so exploitable is because they can't fold mediocre hands, so trying to get them to fold mediocre hands isn't going to work out very well. Obviously I'm not saying to never cbet, but against more than 1 opponent (or even HU against a passive guy) throw in a bunch of checks and see how they feel about their hands. It's ok to just give up sometimes with 2 big cards, you don't have to stack off trying to drive them out.

When AK misses v two or more opponents I very rarely c-bet OOP as it just leads to problems like this.
