6max 50nl QQ preflop
The table had been playing very crazy as of late, with a lot of re-raising preflop. I was genuinely stumped as to what to do here. I had odds of ~3.5-1, and if either of the players had AA or KK then it's a slightly -EV call. If neither player has an overpair, then it's an easy call, right? Does that make this a close call?

Re: 6max 50nl QQ preflop
I think you have to call. You don't need this to be AK, AK or AK, JJ very often to be good, and you're almost good as is.
Stove JJ-AA, AKs, AKos -- you said the table was "crazy" and that range is not even crazy, that's just aggro. Against truly crazy you're fine. |

I call against 2 60bb stacks whose ranges are much, much wider than KK-AA and getting those odds

UTG raises to $1.5, MP calls $1.50, CO calls $1.50, 1 fold, SB raises to $3, Hero raises to $10 [/ QUOTE ] Is just calling here a mistake? |

I ran it for KK+, AK for both opponents, and our equity is almost exactly the same. 33%.

[/ QUOTE ] I'd rather not play oop in what would most likely be a 5 way pot. You have one of the best starting hands in hold'em, you need to raise here for value & protection |

Re: 6max 50nl QQ preflop
Okay, yeah, this basically why I ended up calling - I figured they wouldn't have KK or AA every time and so I called.
They had AK (MP) and KK (sb) and I hit a Q to win. I still think it's the right call, but I was wondering what you guys thought. Thanks. |
