Default Middle Pair On River in RR Pot FT200NL

I think ole' Bill Shakespear wrote it best. To bet or not to bet.

Villian is Average TAG. I had him at 22-14 or so. I've been 3-betting him a couple times within the first few dozen orbits.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $239.05
UTG+1: $224.75
Hero: $213.90
Button: $200
SB: $204
BB: $287

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $7, Hero raises to $24, 3 folds, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($51, 2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $36, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($123, 2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($123, 2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero????

That check means I should fire out a really small bet because a smaller pair will call? Will the turn check make it look like air and I am betting for value? He would have to lead if he missed his check raise on the turn correct?

I was perplexed, any help and rational would be appreciated.

This could be a badly player KK, but also TT. If he's really good he will c/r you with the goods. If he is mediocre you may induce a bluffraise if you bet really small. Also you will get some value of underpairs.

I doubt you get a lot of value out of smaller mid-pairs, I'd just check behind here.

You really think KK is raising this river if i bet? Won't that turn his hand into a bluff?
