Default 10% Rake beatable?

Having been a winning LHE player for 10plus years at regular stakes of 10-20 to 30-60 and higher shots on LV/AC trips, I mostly went to the internet after NL took over most of the world. After having been to LV for the series and noticed how much better the NL side games tended to be than the LHE, I have gone to a local 2-5 NL game, standard buyin 3-400, somey buyin for up to 1k. The rake is 10% of a called pot up to 10.
While I have had wins in the 4 sessions I have played (80-300), my concern is that long term, that rake will be unbeatable. The game is a mix of loose passive to loose semi aggressive players most nights. I have told the host that I will not play shorthanded at that rake level, but even with 9-10 players, the bite is extreme.
At high rake limit, my response was to play tight to avoid the extra rake, but that is clearly -ev with regard to the actual game play here.
Thoughts comments would be appreciated.

First of all don't play in live mid stakes games that are not in a casino or among friends. I know of 4 games in the DC area that have been robbed before. There is nothing they can do either because it cannot be reported to the police.

Solution: Sign up for the interweb.

Yeah, it's beatable, although having the max at 10 instead of 4 or 5 will cut into your winrate pretty significantly.

But I agree with wpr, playing 2/5+ stakes outside of a casino is just asking for trouble.
