no read on villian, but assume plays like most players with his stack size.
since this happens many times a day, whats the most EV play, calling/folding, etc. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG ($29.41) MP ($24.40) CO ($11.54) Hero ($49.25) SB ($49.67) BB ($48.75) Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero calls $1, 2 folds. I would reraise this in your position to see how serious his hand is. 88 is strong, and you have position on him. It's one of two things - he has a weak hand and he folds or tentatively calls, or he minraised a monster looking for action and will likely push. Also, if you reraise him pre-flop and he stays in the hand, he is unlikely to check-raise on the flop with how aggressive you have been, unless he has a big hand, in which case you can safely fold.

Re-raise preflop. Makes the hand easier to play. As played, fold.
