Default Tournament ruling question

NL tournament, blinds are 25/50. The BB is away from the table this hand so after the dealer pitches the cards he kills the BB's hand. Action folds around to the SB who immediately mucks. What happens to the blind money?

They have Holdem in the Special Olympics?

My guess would be that BB gets the chips, since the SB never completed.

It would appear to me that the last player w/ cards gets the pot. It doesn't matter what the sb does after the button folds, the hand is immediately over since the sb is the only remaining hand in.

As soon as the button folded here the only player left with a live hand was the SB so at that point the small blind gets the pot. His "mucking" is irrelevant because he has already won the pot by default.

So if both the SB and BB are gone, the button wins even if he mucks and does not put any money into the pot? What if he only has 25?

Not sure if you missed that BB had his cards mucked before action began or not.

in AC (I've seen this happen)...

After the second card is dealt to the button, hands of players not at the table are killed. Any blinds they have are pulled in then.

Action in this hand would end with the SB. He gets a walk essentially, receiving the blinds.

Yes, I saw that and they are supposed to wait until the action is to them before mucking, correct? Discussing what can't be undone is a waste of time.

My comment was a legitmate question, as usual, you're just NITpicking.
