Re: NL50 - QQ tough spot flop A turn A
Bet more on the flop. Your preflop reraise and weak c-bet screams KK/QQ/JJ. Once you are called I think you have to give villain credit for holding an ace and check fold.
I suppose the Ace on the turn makes it less likely he holds an ace but it is difficult to work out what else he called you with. Betting more on the flop would have enabled you to narrow down his range further and made the turn decision easier. |

Re: NL50 - QQ tough spot flop A turn A
It's very likely that he has an A. I'm not good at reading PT stats, but if this guy is a lag I'd consider a check-call.

Re: NL50 - QQ tough spot flop A turn A
He doesn't seem like a station, so a gutshot seems unlikely. JJ is like our only hope that I see but even that is questionable if he would call on the flop.
I think I can check/fold with confidence. |

I check raise that flop ... let it go if he comes over the top
check it down from there |

Re: NL50 - QQ tough spot flop A turn A
I'd bet somewhere between $9 and $11 on the flop. Once he calls I usually c/f the turn unless I have a serious read .
He's a bad player, so there is a chance you have him beat, but being OOP means that after he calls the flop you are in a reverse implied odds situation with little chance to improve. Question: How would you guys handle the same hand vs a 50/3/0.5 WTSD 36? |
