Playing in my first Sunday Million on Sunday
I won a double shootout into my first PokerStars Sunday Million. This will be the biggest tournament I have ever played in terms of buy-in and prize pool. I am hoping to get some advise from experienced players as to what to expect in the early and middle stages. I expect to encounter mostly tight play during the first few levels and plan to make a lot of small raises and take a lot of flops trying to hit a hand and get a big stack early.
Is that a reasonable expectation? What strategies have you all found to be successful. I have enjoyed a fair amount of success in micro/small stakes (avg buyin $4) and can get by just waiting for the donks to blow up. Are there still a lot of overvaluing/weak play even in these big tourneys? Thanks for any advise you guys can offer and good luck. |

Re: Playing in my first Sunday Million on Sunday
A few thousand people will bust in the first hour so I would lower your expectation of encountering tight play.
