Default i want to call a C/R AI with ace high

villain is 23/15 after a few hundred hands. i don't have reads on when he c/r pushes the flop, but i do know he minraises or raises less than pot with a set.

i stoved this range and i'm a coinflip: JJ+,AQs+,97s,76s,AQo+,97o,76o

I think his range is like 99-QQ or set (even tho ur read says no, this is a 3b pot)

my brain is shutdown for the night, but I would fold this a heartbeat

i don't think he plays 99-TT this strong against a 3bettor (and i'm a tightie) nor a set, especially on such a dry flop.

how about this range? i'm 40% against this: QQ-JJ,AKs,97s,76s,AKo

i really feel like he has SCs sometimes here

according to what I've learned in another thread a while ago, this is supposed to be AK always, although AKs doesn't have a flushdraw going with it. So if it is a mediocre hand that doesn't want to get called, I'd heavily weight my range considerations on small and medium PPs though. Thinks like 44, 66, 77, 99, TT. PPs that don't want to get called really but figure they are the best hand on this board.

Uh, I don't know. I think the range you're giving him is highly optimistic (edit: the one in the original post, anyway -- I was responding blind).

I mean, does this Villain really raise 97o UTG, call a big 3-bet, and then checkraise all-in on the flop with one over and a gutshot?

Nevertheless, I like the spirit behind the call you're contemplating.

well i guess a fold is correct. i mean if i'm right about his range, it's roughly netural to slightly +EV. if i'm wrong, it's very -EV.

What is your image on this table? If he knows you will fold to a 4-bet and always c-bet this could really be aces or kings. Also I would drop 97s from the list, but 76s could very well be in his range.

an 8 and 7's-T's are prolly a big portion of his range.. add that stuff to your stoved range and you aren't a coin flip. He's prolly got something like 89 and just said screw it, you're full of crap.
