Default Poker Academy Prospector

I’ve been a long time user of Poker Academy’s practice software and haven’t seen anything on here
about their latest release, Prospector. It is the easiest stat program that I’ve used.

It has a boatload of stats, performance reports, and a sexy hand replayer. It can filter through stats
and let you use multiple databases.

No more whining about slow import speeds. This thing imports bonkers fast.

Supposedly it can handle millions of hands, but I don't have anywhere near that yet.

The bankroll graph is pretty slick. Beyond showing me how well (or poorly lol) I'm doing, I found it
helpful that I can replay hands right from the graph itself. The other graphs prove pretty valuable too,
like position and net graph. There are a lot of different options to add to each graph to customize them.

The filtering is insanely powerful and intuitive. There are many options to break down the hands in the
database. I made a filter of continuation betting (if I missed the flop with less than top pair)
and looked at the bankroll, pretty interesting!

Here is a short handed filter of when I raised pre-flop and I have an Ace in the hole.

The hand history browser is a great tool. There is a transcript mode as well as a tabular mode that will show
graphically what happens at each action stage. The tabular mode helps cut time off of my hand review sessions.

All in all, Prospector is pretty cool. It allows me to quickly get down to what I need to do to work on my game.

For 1, you can only import 1,000 hands.

That's one of the reasons why I never looked at it. What info can we possibly gather from 1,000 hands?

Whether the software is worth purchasing?

Not from 1K hands. That's just a few sessions. A 30-day trial would have made me take a look but a 1K hand limit is worthless.

It's under $50, well worth your dollar.

Already working on my 'issues', discovery was a problem for me until this program.

1000 hands is only limitation, and basically that is all PT had, and you still sprung for that, right?

You'll know it's worth, pretty quickly, and their developers actually participate on their forums.
